Kyle Forster - Chief Engineer

Kyle is a graduate aerospace engineer with an impressive history. Kyle began karting at the age of 10, and since then his passion for motorsport and engineering has not declined. He achieved second in the state in HSC engineering studies, and went on to study aerospace engineering at UNSW, becoming a triple Dean’s medallist and holding first class honours. Kyle graduated with the University Medal in Aerospace Engineering, the highest honour an undergraduate can receive. During his time at university, Kyle was involved in the Formula SAE team Redback Racing for three years. In his final year he led the engineering team as Technical Director to creating its first car to compete in all competition events for over 3 years. Kyle was also the teams lead competition driver in 2011, and knows the importance in linking engineering knowledge and driving experience to optimise performance.

Joshua Simmons - Structures

Joshua is a final year Civil Engineering student at the University of New South Wales. Displaying both engineering and leadership skills during high school, Joshua was awarded the UNSW Co-op scholarship for civil engineering. Since then he has continued to excel, continually performing well in his university courses. As part of his scholarship he has received industrial experience as a process engineer at Sydney Water, a site engineer at the construction company Brookfield Multiplex and as a consulting structural engineer at MWH. Currently he tutors third year engineering students in the field of structural analysis and is completing a thesis concerning the application of piezoelectric sensors and actuators in structural control systems. Joshua has previously worked with Kyle on a number of engineering projects, including the development and construction of an off-road go-kart. His combination of structural analysis skill and practical experience make him an invaluable member of the team.

Lewis Clark - Powertrain

Lewis is a graduand mechanical engineer with a broad knowledge base of cars as well as engines. Lewis has always been a highly competitive individual, receiving a sporting scholarship to study a bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) at UNSW. Having always had a passion for all things automotive, he continued to diversify his knowledge of engines and suspension by modifying his own cars to improve their performance. During his time at UNSW, Lewis gained a wide variety of engineering industry experience, ranging from mechanical design of air conditioning systems to computational optimisation of turbochargers. Finishing his degree in 2012 with first class honours, Lewis has continued on to work at S.R.E., specialising in the powertrain.
